We want to welcome our Nursery and PreK families back to Children’s Ministries!! We’ve missed you and your kiddos! Please thoroughly read the following as we walk you through what to expect on Sunday morning when you come to drop off your kids.
Parents will be welcomed outside and directed to the foyer doors by our Start Up team Sunday morning. Families will then be shown to a table that has a thermometer, pen, sign in sheet, and a checklist of questions. The sheet will have a place for the parents name, signature, child’s name, and a spot for their temp. Parents will sign the form verifying the health and wellness of their kid/s.
Families will then be brought to the check-in counter. We will ONLY offer assisted check-in; no self check-in will be offered. All self check-in computers will be removed at this time. Children will be checked in via Lambs list and directed to enter the door to the left (walking down the west hallway, by the office doors). The Nursery will be the first drop off location, with families continuing down the hallway to drop off in Pre-k.
Parents will then walk down the east hallway and out the double doors. Keeping the halls one way will make it so there is little chance of cross contamination.
If a child needs to use the bathroom we will call the parent to assist their child and ask that they take the same route in the hallways.
The pick up line at the end of service will start at the check in counter. One family at a time will be sent back to pick their child up following the same route as drop off. All families will exit from the foyer doors once they have their child picked up. We are asking that families do not
congregate in the foyer.
In classroom rules:
Nursery: Masks are required for all workers in the class. Toys will be divided into two groups and once one child plays with the toy we will put it in the dirty bin so it is not played with again by another child (unless all children are from one family). Between services the toys will be swapped out with another tote designated for 2nd service. We will wipe down all surfaces in the room between services. Snacks (fishy crackers) will be handed out with gloves only by the volunteer.
Pre-k: Masks are required for all workers in the class. Toys will be divided into two groups and once one child plays with the toy we will put it in the dirty bin so it is not played with again by another child (unless all children are from one family). Between services the toys will be swapped out with another tote designated for 2nd service. We will wipe down all surfaces in the room between services. Two carts will be prepared, one for first service and one for second service. Those carts will be brought in before the start of each service from the supply room. Each cart will contain the lesson, supplies, snacks, and cleaning supplies needed for that service. Volunteers will be serving snacks and will be required to use hand sanitizer, then put gloves on, and serve each child individually packaged snacks. They will be encouraged to wear the gloves until snack time is over. At checkout, parents will place their child’s sticker on clipboard.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to serve our families during this time. As time goes on, methods may be subject to change, so thank you for your flexibility as we do our best to keep everyone safe.
